Who We Are
Over 70 years ago Dr. William Feinbloom founded Designs for Vision in the back of a small doctor’s office in Buffalo, New York. The mission of the company, was through research and development, to help people from all walks of life to better realize their full potential through better vision.
Today, over one hundred thousand of Designs for Vision’s specialized optical products are in use by surgeons and dentists on a daily basis, in their on-going efforts to relieve pain and improve the quality of life. Tens of thousands of visually impaired people participate more fully in every day life with the use of these products. Certainly Dr. Feinbloom’s vision for his company has been realized in large part.
Designs for Vision continues today its mission of applying optical research and design to help people see better. The precision optical research and manufacturing done by Designs for Vision is among some of the most sophisticated in the world. Designs does additional research for major companies such as ITT (Night Vision) and Hitachi (MRI Optical Lighting).
Remaining under private ownership and continuing its “Growth Through Contribution” tradition, Designs for Vision has grown to seventy three offices worldwide and continues its tradition of “See What’s Right About Made in America.”
