Dr. Mehdi Noroozi, Canadian fellowship qualified and board-certified specialist in Periodontics, attained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto, Canada. After several successful years in private practice, he completed an intense three-year surgical specialty residency at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, where he received extensive training in contemporary treatments of periodontal diseases, cosmetic oral plastic procedures, dental implants and reconstructive surgeries leading to a Masters degree in craniofacial science with focus on dental implantology, as well as a specialized diploma in postgraduate periodontics and implant surgery. Dr. Noroozi has performed successfully hundreds of dental implant surgical and restorative procedures over the past several years. He is a graduate of the advanced autogenous bone and soft tissue grafting course by Prof. Khoury from Private Clinic Schloss Schellenstein GmbH and University of Münster, Germany. Dr. Noroozi is trained in the latest micro-surgical procedures that offer increased esthetics, predictability, and patient comfort. Dr. Mehdi Noroozi has been the recipient of numerous prestigious academic awards, including “The Canadian Academy of Periodontology Prize” for the most outstanding student in clinical Periodontology and “William R. Jackson Award” for excellence and superior ability in clinical Prosthodontics. He was also among the few to be awarded twice the “UBC DMD Graduate Teaching Assistant Award” in 2013 and 2014, in recognition of his excellence in teaching.
Dr. Noroozi maintains his status of specialist in good standing, as Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (F.R.C.D.C) and Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology recognizing him as a leader in the fields of implant dentistry and periodontics. He is a fellow of the College of Dental Surgeons of BC, and active member of Canadian Academy of Periodontology, American Academy of Periodontology, International Team for Implantology (ITI), Academy of Osseointegration, BC Society of Periodontists and BC Dental Association.
Dr. Mehdi Noroozi is the founder and director of the Envision Periodontics and Implantology Core (EPIC) study club and Vancouver ITI Study Club dedicated to providing dental professionals with advanced continuing dental education in periodontics and implant dentistry at its highest level.
Dr. Noroozi has several publications in different fields of dentistry and presented research at several national and international conferences. His research interest focused on the outcomes of implant therapy in patients with self-reported penicillin allergy.
As a certified specialist in periodontics and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia, Dr. Noroozi is involved in formal training of student dentists. He currently maintains a private practice specializing in all aspects of periodontal therapy with strong emphasis on full mouth rehabilitation and dental implant surgery as well as bone and soft tissue grafting. He is also one of very few periodontists licensed by the College of Dental Surgeons to provide intravenous sedation.
Dr. Noroozi’s specialty practice is equipped with the most technologically advanced breakthroughs with solid evidence in the field of periodontology and implant surgery such as ultrasonic Piezosurgery for sinus floor elevation surgery, tooth removal surgery, dental Implant placement, autogenous bone harvesting, ridge splitting and the centrifuge for preparation of autogenous concentrated growth factors e.g. Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF, LPRF) to achieve the most optimal treatment outcomes. His practice also provides periodontal laser therapy for less invasive and more conservative treatments.
To be at the forefront of the most recent advancements in periodontics and to provide his patients with the highest quality treatments, he was certified in Chao Pinhole Gum Rejuvenation™ and is one of the pioneers of this revolutionary gum rejuvenation technique in Vancouver and Canada.

Dr. Nathalie Pauletto, DMD, MSc, Dip. Perio

Dr. Pauletto has been a dentist for 25 years, after graduating from the University of Montreal in 1987 with a dental degree. She completed a multidisciplinary residency at the Montreal Children’s hospital through McGill University and then maintained an active general practice for seven years in Montreal and stayed on Staff at the Children’s hospital for a few years.
Dr. Pauletto then graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1997, with a combined diploma in the specialty of Periodontics and a Masters of Clinical Dental Science, which involved a research and thesis on the impact of smoking on periodontal disease. Dr. Pauletto has written articles in scientific journals like the American Journal of Periodontology, the Canadian Association Journal and the International Journal of Oral Maxillofacial Implants.
She has also completed an intensive and advanced course in implant surgical procedures involving bone grafting for the maxillary sinus among others, to permit placement of implants in the severely resorbed bone, in elderly patients, at Berne University in Switzerland. Dr. Pauletto is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia.
Dr. Pauletto maintains a certified specialty license in Periodontics from the College of Dental Surgeons and her practice is mainly, but not exclusively, through referrals from general dentists who refer their patients for the expertise in her specialty. She was past president and secretary of the British Columbia Society of Periodontics and she maintained over the years, memberships to the Association of Periodontists of British Columbia, American and Canadian Academies for Periodontology and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. Pauletto continues to further her already extended knowledge in her field, participating in local and international conventions, congresses on periodontal disease and its treatment, and implant dentistry.
Dr. Faranak Zaeimdar, DDS, MSc, Dip Prostho, FRCD(C)

Dr. Zaeimdar is a Board Certified Specialist in Prosthetic Dentistry. She graduated from DMD (Doctorate in Medical Dentistry) program at the University of British Columbia and consequently joined the three-year intense specialty training at UBC in prosthetic denistry. She was awarded a Diploma in Prosthodontics and a Master of Science, in Craniofacial Science for her research on bonding to the e. max ceramics from UBC.
Besides practicing in prosthodontics, she has maintained a position as a lecturer, clinical assistant professor and consultant prosthodontist in the Department of Oral Health Sciences, Division of Prosthodontics and Geriatrics in the faculty of dentistry of the University of British Columbia ; also she actively lectures in numerous dental educational courses and study clubs.
In recognition of her contribution to the education of UBC graduate prosthodontics students, she was given the graduate part time faculty teaching award in 2016.
For overall outstanding performance, Dr. Zaeimdar was recipient of multiple awards including, the Max Nacht Memorial Prize in Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry Dental Student Award, American College of Prosthodontists Undergraduate Achievement Prize, and B.C. Society of Prosthodontists Entrance Award in Prosthodontic.
She is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and a member of the Canadian Dental Association, Dental Specialists Society of British Columbia, British Columbia Society of Prosthodontics, British Columbia Dental Association, and American College of Prosthodontists
